What is GCE?
The CELS General Compute Environment (GCE) is a CELS-wide Unix environment built from the ground up to meet the CELS-wide computing needs and make it easier to collaborate with other teams at Argonne. As such, it uses Argonne accounts for access. While it is designed for CELS research and projects and is available to CELS users and their collaborators, anyone with an Argonne account can access the environment, however non-CELS users will be strictly bound to default quotas and any support is purely best-effort and goodwill.
